アメリカはテキサスの Haltom City にある Riverwalk Fellowship Church では、オーブだけではなく聖なる油までも出現したという。

Solomon said that as people began taking pictures of the oil, something else began to appear in the pictures. He said, "We'd started taking pictures at church and almost everyone would just take a picture and these orbs of light would show up."

とあるように正確には、聖なる油の写真を撮影したところ、写真にオーブが写っていたということになる。
バークレイの超常心理学者(Paranormal Investigations) Loyd Auerbach によると、

since, in this case, the power had gone out, we had checked our lens and the tape was viewed immediately, “something is ‘probably’ going on.”

聖なる油の出現とオーブの出現。この２つが教会で起これば、

it was awesome. I haven't been the same since…I don’t care what they say, I know God is real.

と思いたくなる気持ちも分かる。
ただ、ここでも触れられているように、光源の悪戯(いたずら)の可能性もあるし、ほこりが邪魔をしたということも十分に考えられる。
それをどう考えるのかは結局は自分次第ということになるのか、それとも科学的に徹底的に解明すべきなのか。

おそらく、科学的に徹底的に解明されて、ミステリーでも何でもないということが分かったとしても、北テキサスの教会の信者の人々は、それでも奇跡を信じ続けることだろう。

それで、希望が持てるならば、それでも良いと思う。
