千葉県東金市の帝立山妙善寺の伝承によると,平将門とその母の桔梗の前の面倒をみた七郎兵衛が,母子が流された布留川に因んで賜ったという.布留川は十文字川ともいう.
家紋は丸に抱き茗荷など.
