高句麗系渡来氏族.高麗国能祁王を祖とする島岐史[『新撰姓氏録』]の末裔.嶋木とも.同じく『新撰姓氏録』の河内国諸蕃に高麗国の伊理和須使主の末裔として記載されている島本は島木であるとも考えられている.
