埼玉県八潮市八條[和井田氏屋敷]をゆかりとする.但し,大阪より移住したとの伝承を持つ.延宝年間[1673-1680]以来,代々名主職を世襲した名主大惣代であった.
京都府京田辺市興戸和井田と言う地名あり.
家紋は丸に抱き茗荷など.
