秋田県鹿角市八幡平夏井を発祥の地とする.『鹿角由来記』によると安保一族の夏井氏が拠った夏井館は安保館と柳館および大館からなる.なお,秋田市下北手柳館字前田面の戸島秋田氏の館の跡に鎮座する神明社は柳舘と呼ばれた.
