度会氏族.三重県伊勢市常磐町城山を発祥の地とする.1486[文明18]年,伊勢神宮内宮の門前町の宇治と,伊勢神宮外宮の門前町の山田が争った.この時,山田側は御師村山[榎倉]武則を将とし村山砦を拠点とし,宇治方の伊勢国司・北畠政郷に対抗.しかし,山田方は国司軍に圧倒され伊勢外宮に追い詰められ,村山[榎倉]武則は自刃したという[『宇治山田市史』].
