玉置庄司氏族.奈良県吉野郡十津川村玉置川を発祥の地とする.『太平記』に戸津川の小原の玉木庄司が出てくる.大塔宮護良親王が高野山へと落ち延びる途上で,これを阻止しようとしたのが玉木庄司.大峰山脈の南端の玉置山には玉置神社が鎮座.家紋は丸に洲浜など.
