桓武平氏良茂流長尾氏族.埼玉県北本市深井を発祥の地とする.長尾景春の子で越中小出城主となった長尾景行の子の景孝[-1533]が深井六郎次郎景孝と称したことが起源.長尾景行は武蔵国鴻巣を本拠とし上杉謙信に仕え,景孝は鴻巣郷深井村で生まれている.深井景孝の跡は鴻巣七騎と呼ばれた深井対馬守景吉が継ぎ松平忠吉に仕えた.
