Nの家族は第6回二科展で樗牛賞に輝いた作品.Nというのは楢重のNのことであり,この絵は自らの家族を描いたもの.小出楢重の前にはルネサンス期のドイツの画家であるハンス・ホルバイン[Hans Holbein,1497/1498-1543]の画集がある.
